Price range on 220A 28 gauge.
« on: May 09, 2019, 07:40:34 AM »
There is a 220A for sale on GB. Starting bid is $575, what would you consider fair market value? I know, at times some will pay far over the far market value. We have all done it and I would like to check myself before this happens, with your help.

812773987 GB number.   I looked at this gun and it is a nice one, but does show some wear.  I only have one 28 gauge in my collection and have only seen one other for sale.  Before bidding, I would ask the owner to verify the assembly numbers to be sure it was an all matching gun, though most likely it is.  As to the price, if I did not have one, I would bid on this one.  Good luck to you.  Let us know if you get it.

Great news!  I have been watching the auction until this morning.  Did anyone else bid?  I look forward to the pictures!

Congratulations,

I have two, a Utica and a 220a. In my opinion they balance better than any of the other gauges. You will like it. IF you get really brave you might want to sculpt the trigger a bit as the 220a's tend to be a bit square and fat.

The triggers starting with the 220A's are  too fat!  In my opinion, they really spoil the looks of the guns.  Once you see a slim trigger on a Utica gun, you may not ever be satisfied with the fat one on later models.  I have had my gunsmith/machinist reshape 4 or 5 of mine.

Yes, a much clearer look. Think I will give it a try on the receiver I am currently working on.
