I got a tip from a friend that there was a nice 219 in .25-20 for sale by a small shop in Redmond OR. Contacted the owner and was told he won't ship guns to CA. He was polite but firm about it, a gentleman who didn't give me the "I don't do business with Communist countries" line that I have heard more than once. We parted company politely; he IS free to do business with the customer HE chooses.
If anyone wants to see what he has and what he wants for it ( AND doesn't live in The Golden State), the name of the shop is Gunners Central Oregon, Redmond OR (NOT Washington) and the owner's name is Dan.
