Savage 219
« on: September 23, 2017, 01:36:51 PM »
Hello
I inherited from my brother a Savage 219 originally chambered in 22 Hornet but has been converted to 219 Zipper. I also have reloading dies and forming dies to convert from 30-30. plus a couple boxes of vintage ammo and a bunch of brass. It has a cheap Bushnell scope on it now and I would like to use it for prairie dogs and ground squirrels in the future. Thinking a 45 grain bullet or thereabouts. I need to try a few and see how they shoot. Should be a fun gun.

Brian, Welcome to this forum!  I also have a .219 Zipper barrel fitted to one of my "Utility" sets.  I have not shot it yet.  Please share with us your results when shooting yours.  I also hope you will find information on this site about these two guns (M219/220 Single Shots) that will be of interest to you.  If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.  Hopefully one of us can help.  Again, welcome!  Best wishes, Garnett
